Ranks VPN

Connect to the Ranks office VPN

The VPN lets you open company tools that only work from the office network, from anywhere. It uses the VPN client already built into your device, so there is nothing to install on most devices.

Check that it works

While connected, open ifconfig.me. It should show the office IP address. Company tools that only work from the office will now open.

All of your internet traffic goes through the office while the VPN is on. Disconnect when you don't need it.

Troubleshooting

"Authentication failed" / error 691Wrong username or password. Type them again (they are case-sensitive), or ask IT to reset your password.
Windows error 628 / 13801, or it stops right after "Connecting"The server address must be exactly vpn.ranksitt.net, not an IP address. Remove the VPN and add it again with that name.
Windows error 809, or it never connectsYour network blocks VPN traffic, which is common on hotel and guest Wi-Fi. Try mobile data or another network.
Connected, but sites don't openDisconnect and connect again. If it keeps happening, tell IT the time it happened and your username.
